Technical
Because of various constraints, we had two options: build an HTML web with links to the Notes server, or export all documents and link to them directly on the web server. The latter became the client's choice. Thousands of documents were exported and re-formatted using an embedded style sheet that gave the site a consistent look and feel throughout. The site is currently undergoing a conversion to an SQL database and implementation of ASP technology for better performance.
Creative
The Safety Director decided he wanted a site that had the same look and feel of the United States DOT Web site (Which has since changed). Our designers were able to create a clean, easy to navigate and read user interface that provided the client with the features they wanted. An alphabetical index was built on the homepage for quick access to any given document along with a search by category section that mimicked their offline Safety Manual.
The Safety and Compliance department of Holox Ltd. wanted to be able to distribute and disseminate their vast database of information to internal personnel, customers and vendors across a widely dispersed geographic area.
