- Follow-up with your customers once you have made the sale. A good follow-up method is to send the customer a "thank you" e-mail. Within the e-mail you could inform the customer of other products you offer. You can use this method every few months.
- Entice customers to add to their order by offering products related to their purchase.
- Propose to rebate your customer the full purchase price of their order in exchange for four referrals to your website. This will give you three sales instead of one.
- After a successful sale, invite customers to earn commissions by joining an affiliate program and selling your products. This will extend the sale.
- Sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could include an ad on or with the product for other products you sell. You could make sales for the reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.
- Package your products with products of other businesses. The ads you include about your other products will have the other businesses helping your to increase your sales.
- Inform customers of your other products by adding coupons for products related to their purchase. This will get their attention so that they will buy other products you sell.
- Promote future purchases by providing your customers with a catalog of products that extend their purchase. Examples of products that can extend a customer's purchase include attachments, upgrades, and special services. As long as the customer is happy with the existing product they will purchase the extended items.
- Allow customers to purchase your products with gift certificates. You will get the sale when the customer redeems the gift certificate. The customer may also purchase other products available on your website.
- Give your customers extras with their orders. You should imprint your ad on these free items. You could include items such as bumper stickers, hats, and t-shirts that enable people to view your and lure them to buy your products.
